Abstract

This paper addressed the life and biography of the well-known American poet of the 20th century Sylvia Plath. Most of the researchers think she belongs to the group of confessional poets. Confessional poetry is the only movement that deeply studies Sylvia Plath heritage. The paper discusses the works of other confessional poets like: Anne sexton,Elisabeth Bishop, Robert Lowell and others. The paper analyses main concepts, geneses and themes; this movement’s poets works are discussed in literal context, which gives somehow complete and interesting face of the epoch.
